Thank you for your interest in the host family program.
We need host families who will accept oversea students (8-17 years old) from Asia(especially Japan) who will be attending San José State University Spring camp in March,Stanford University’s summer camp in summer.
Please complete the application form below and submit it. We will contact you within a few days.
If you are even slightly interested in becoming a host family, please register! Registration does not commit you to hosting immediately. We will contact you 1–2 months in advance to check your availability for accommodating students.
Host family requirements:
- Families with children up to the age of 18 (even if you do not have children, please contact us if you meet the following requirements).
- A family that can treat students just like their own family.
- Can provide a private room.
- Can provide a healthy Breakfast and dinner.
- A family where English is the primary language spoken.
- A home that is positive about cross-cultural exchange and actively involved with the child.
Host family responsibilities:
- Meal preparation (breakfast, dinner).
- Transportation to and from the camp site.
- Airport transportation if necessary.
2025 Host family Schedule
You do not have to accommodate all schedules, so please choose a time that suits your schedule from the list below.
6 nights 7 days $1440～ (for 2 students)
Dates:March 23 (Sun) to March 29 (Sat), 2025 (6 nights, 7 days)
①Daily Drop-off: Drop students off at San Jose State University by 8:30 AM each morning from Monday to Friday.
②Meals: Provide breakfast and dinner.
③Accommodation: Offer a private room for the students.
Additional Requirements
- Minimum of Two Students: We require host families to host at least two students for safety reasons.
- Beds: If you don’t have enough beds, we will gladly provide air mattresses. We only ask that you supply linens for the students.If space allows, up to two students can share one room.

Transportation to and from the summer camp (Stanford University Monday to Friday).
Drop off by 8:30 / Pick up 4:30
*All students will be participating in the San Francisco tour throughout the entire day on Saturday. Dinner with host family.
* You may accommodate two students in the same room. We will provide our air mattress (please provide linens).
2 nights 3 days ＄200～ (per student)

① Friday PM Pick Up student from Stanford Uni, Checkin – Sunday AM check out (Drop Off at SFO International Airport would be paid $50 additionally)
*All students will be participating in the San Francisco tour throughout the entire day on Saturday. Dinner with Host family
